Mate/Engineer | Swan 82
Seeking an experienced Mate/Engineer with sailing and engineering experience to join a private Swan 82 sailing in the Caribbean and on the US East Coast. Possible team position with a Cook/Stew.
Seeking an experienced Mate/Engineer to join a lovely Captain on a privately sailed Swan 82. This is a potential team position with an experienced Chef/Stew (https://www.nautorswancrew.com/jobs/8514203-chef-stew-swan-82).
This hands-on, versatile role suits an experienced professional who enjoys being part of a close-knit, collaborative team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the yacht’s exterior and ongoing maintenance. Previous yachting and engineering experience is essential, ideally a minimum of three years.
As this is a small crew, a willingness and ability to assist with interior operations when time allows is equally important. Previous sailing experience, especially on a similar size yacht, is highly desirable. Confidence with sailing manoeuvres and ongoing maintenance of on-board systems is essential.
After an Atlantic crossing later this year, the yacht will spend the 2027 season cruising the Caribbean and US East Coast, offering an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys an active cruising programme and a varied role within a professional yet personable environment.
This is an excellent position for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to contribute across all areas on board.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years’ previous yachting experience, including time on similar-sized yachts
