A well-loved Swan 82 seeks an experienced Captain/Engineer to take the helm for a motivated family who enjoys day sailing and occasional regattas.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing a sailing yacht of similar size and calibre and be comfortable with onboard systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and general engineering responsibilities.

A calm, positive, professional, and hands-on approach is essential, along with a passion for performance sailing. The vessel operates with a crew of three and is primarily used by the family for day sailing several times each week.

Qualities desired in the Captain:

• Captain Qualification (preferably a YM Ocean)

• Engineering experience and a hands-on approach to systems maintenance

• Proven ability to troubleshoot

• Previous experience as Captain/Engineer on similar-sized boats & ocean crossings

• Down-to-earth and positive personality

• Strong sailing backgrounds on similar-sized vessels

• Long-term commitment to the program

Cruising plans:

• US East Coast - a mix of family day sailing and light regattas during the summer, winters are spent in West Palm Beach, FL.
