Deck/Cook/Stew(ard) | Swan 78

A Swan 78 with an exciting cruising program, including regattas and the South Pacific in 2025, seeks an experienced Deck/Cook/Stew(ard). Please note, this position is open only for French nationals.

A recently launched Swan 78 is looking for a strong Cook/Stew(ard) to join the current Captain on board. This boat is owned by experience owners who are passionate about sailing and have exciting plans that include worldwide cruising and a few regattas along the way.

The boat will run with a core team of two, Captain + Cook/Stew, and can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 cabins. For longer passages and regattas, the boat will bring on extra deck crew to assist.

The ideal candidate will be familiar and comfortable with helping out on deck including line handling, anchor operations, watchkeeping, and sailing operations.


Candidate Requirements:
Mandatory

  • French National (boat is French flagged under the RIF scheme)
  • Able seaman deck
  • STCW Reg R 11/5
  • HACCP
  • ENG1 or French equivalent

Additional pluses

  • Culinary training
  • Higher deck qualifications, for example, a Yachtmaster Offshore
  • Previous regatta experience


2024-2025 Cruising program:

  • July - December 2024: Western Mediterranean
  • January 2025: Canary Islands & RORC Transatlantic Race
  • February - April 2025: West Indies Antilles
  • May 2025: Panama
  • June - August: French Polynesia

Additional regattas are being considered
